Doonsey's back story: Doonsey's Beach Adventure, the Great Rescue, was inspired by a little windup toy crab that I found in a shop near Kure Beach, NC. We were on vacation. My granddaughter, Sofie, named him Doonsey. Doonsey went everywhere with us and he ended up becoming the main character and hero in this funny, little story. We hope you love Doonsey . . . and the Beach Buddies! Beach Buddies can be made of shells, stones, crab claws, beach grass and anything thing else fun that can be found at the beach. Kids can make "nature buddies" too - just look around your backyard!!
